Primitive Bow Making Workshop

Come joins us on February 19th for a traditional bow building workshop at Stoney Point Camp! Participants will receive personal instruction from experienced bowyer and environmental educator Dan Rhodes, to learn how to craft a durable primitive bow from a piece of locally cut PA hardwood! By the end of the day you’ll have your own functional, shooting bow to take home!

Children 12 and under welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or older sibling. Preferably, participants should bring a fixed blade knife for carving, along with a 4 sided Nicholson wood rasp, but if you can’t get any of your own tools and would like to attend, please let us know.

*fee covers the bow blank and a hand-made Dacron bowstring. NO QUIVER. NO ARROWS.
